 Abstract-Road safety system always aims to ensure safety for all people in traffic. The foundation to ensure traffic includes safe roads and curbs, safe speeds, safe vehicles and safe people involved. All of the above factors must be resolved to eliminate traffic accidents. In order to implement the above factors, safety traffic equipment plays a very important role. Currently, our country has applied safety traffic equipment, which is installed on highways, national highways, junctions, intersections ... with different categories for each different project. This situation is due to the fact that we do not have a uniform national standard for these safety traffic equipment. From that fact, the Dubai 88 has focused on developing and submitting national standards for safety traffic equipment to help reduce the number of traffic accidents. Some standards have been issued and some are in the process of issuing procedures.

     The paper presents some issues related to the role of safety traffic equipment, introduces the national standard for a number of safety traffic equipment, helps to identify and apply them. In fact, safety traffic equipment to prevent and contribute to reducing road traffic accidents is a very urgent issue today.
